The black magnetic tape has a thickness of 1.6 mm (1.8 mm including the self-adhesive layer). It can be cut with ordinary scissors to achieve the desired length. The maximum possible length in a piece is 50 m. The tape can withstand a temperature range of -20 to 40°C. Do not expose the magnetic tape to temperatures outside this range. The magnetic tape is not intended for outdoor use or for use in wet environments. If placed near windows, direct sunlight may shine on the magnetic strip. Due to the manufacturing technology, the side where the magnetic strip magnetises may become slightly dirty. We prevent this by applying a UV coating to this magnetic side, but we prefer to point this out and recommend wiping the magnetic strip with a dry cloth before use.

Multipolar magnetization

The direction of magnetization changes every few millimeters for magnetic tapes. The north and south poles are thus distributed in stripes and normally alternate in close succession. This increases the adhesion in direct contact with ferromagnetic surfaces and the adhesion strength. Conversely, the magnetic field range of the strip is reduced. We therefore recommend that the contact between your ferromagnetic material and the magnetic strip is as close as possible. Magnetic tape does not magnetize "remotely".

Uses of magnetic strips

Magnetic tape can be used in warehouses, workshops, education, marketing, exhibitions, offices or homes. It can be used for shelf marking in shops, car marking, window marking or advertising banners. The tape is not describable. You can use it to mark name tags, business cards, merchandise and promotional gifts at balls and corporate events.
